ClipFrog is a Windows 10 and Windows 11 utility that stays in the system tray. Press a hotkey, drag a screen region, then annotate a screenshot or record a short GIF or MP4. Copy the result to the clipboard or save a file. Paste and share work in chat apps, mail, documents, and anywhere else that accepts an image or a dropped file.
Image / annotate

Motion
Default Ctrl+Alt+O. Record until you stop, then export GIF or MP4. Settings picks the default format. Copy, Quick Save, or Save To when rendering is done.

Run the Windows installer. Setup downloads FFmpeg with a progress bar and places ffmpeg.exe next to the app. A portable zip is secondary.

Drag a region. Tools sit beside the image; Copy, Save, and Undo stay below. Ctrl+C copies, Ctrl+S saves to Downloads.

Drag, record, then stop with the same hotkey or the Stop button. Duration defaults to When Stopped. Optional 5 / 10 / 15 second caps live in Settings.

After a recording, pick GIF or MP4, wait for render, then Copy, Quick Save, or Save To. Ctrl+V pastes stills as an image and clips as a file-drop.
